The details you learn before adoption can help you care for your pet once they’re home. Before pickup, ask the person caring for them to walk you through an ordinary day.

Bring their care details with them

• What food do they eat, how much, and at what times?
• What helps them rest, settle in, or spend time alone?
• What medication or ongoing care do they need? Ask for current instructions and records.
• Who can you contact with questions after adoption?

Keep everyone caring for them on the same page
